Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
Sofia earned her Master’s Degree in Communicative Sciences and
Disorders from New York University's Bilingual Extension Program. She is
passionate about helping children from all walks of life find their own way to
communicate and achieve their potential. She is a member of the American
Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds New York and Florida
State licensure as a speech-language pathologist. Sofia has recently moved
back to Miami, FL after 12 years in New York City. She has experience working in
a pediatric hospital, Early Intervention Center, and a head & neck cancer center
for adults. Her professional interests include autism, speech sound disorders,
and language-based learning impairments. When not at work, you can find Sofia
cooking, swimming or playing with her niece and nephew.
