Triana

Bilingual Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Triana is an Occupational Therapy Assistant, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and licensed by the Department of Health in the state of Florida. She began her medical professional journey as a medical assistant at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital's Neuroscience Center. There she got to witness the positive impact occupational therapy was making in the lives of the children and parents. This inspired her to pursue her Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant at Keiser University. She grew up in sunny South Florida with Peruvian and Puerto Rican parents so she speaks English and Spanish fluently. Triana enjoys traveling, experiencing different cultures, trying new cuisines, Zumba, and going on nature walks. She is a firm believer in the therapeutic benefits that music and dance provide to an individual and tries to incorporate them in her treatments whenever it is appropriate. Triana is very empathetic and prioritizes using a client centered approach when implementing treatments in order to achieve the best outcomes where it matters the most to the child and parent. She looks forward to making a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients and their family and is thrilled to be a part of the AKP team!
